On Monday we will be reviewing Holly and Jessica with your texts in mind, please ensure that they are completed and that you have read and annotated the piece and are ready to discuss in detail, the choices you made.

On Thursday we will be looking at Rose George's piece "They don't see it as rape..." so please read this by the and come prepared with pens, pencils etc.

Cupcakes Task

Working from the Martha Gelhorn text please attempt one to the following recasting task.

1. Working from the extract p212-214 produce the opening to a documentary on racism in the South in the 1930's. Adapt the text to produce a mixture of voice-over and scripted dialogue.
2. from the whole text, write Joe's diary entry written the next day for the events of the night before.

Both recasts should be 300 words

Also write a 150 word commentary.

DEADLINES

The deadline for the essay is this Thursday as both Ms Massiah and I have to mark it before submitting it for moderation.


Please ensure that you have completed the essay by this time.
